I intended to wait to review this until getting the Platinum...I've changed my mind. 😅 Crash 4 might honestly be my favourite of the mainline series, with some of the best platforming & a great story. However, it's also the hardest platformer I've ever played and it's platinum is a joke. I've got the platinum trophy on the N.Sane trilogy Crash games AND Crash Team Racing, and whilst they weren't at all easy (especially CTR), they were a walk in the park compared to the mental torture that Crash 4's Platinum trophy is. I'm about halfway through my run for all of the "NSane Relics" which require you to beat the level without dying whilst getting all crates, and will then have to do this again but getting the best time possible on the time trials. All levels also have to be completed with all gems found (including the less than 3 deaths gem) in a mirrored mode with weird visual filters. The levels at the back-end of the game apparently take an average of like 10 hours each to do all this on. 🤣 I'll look forward to that as I am committing to this Platinum, but don't expect to get it anytime soon. Overall though, an excellent game that I'd recommend to all, especially if you've enjoyed prior Crash games or other platformers. I really hope a Crash 5 does happen too despite the unfortunate rumours of its cancellation. My last bit of advice is to go into this without the intention of getting the Platinum, unless you are prepared for 80+ hours of torture & rage. 🙃
